About Dr. Niki Elahi
Dr. Niki Elahi is a pediatric dentist dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and completed her two-year postgraduate specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry through NYU Langone at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn. Her advanced training encompasses preventive and restorative dentistry, behavior guidance, dental trauma and emergencies, hospital dentistry, sedation and general anesthesia, and the care of children with complex medical and developmental needs.
Before dental school, Dr. Elahi earned a Master of Public Health from Thomas Jefferson University and a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and French Studies from Wesleyan University. Her public-health background and longstanding involvement with Virtue Foundation have contributed to her commitment to prevention, education, and expanding access to healthcare. Through Virtue Foundation, she has participated in and helped coordinate international dental and healthcare initiatives serving underserved communities.
Having grown up around Sutton Place Dental Associates and worked at the practice before becoming a dentist, Dr. Elahi is especially proud to return as a pediatric specialist and continue its tradition of caring for generations of New York families. She believes that a child’s earliest dental experiences can shape a lifetime of oral health and strives to make every visit positive, comfortable, and engaging for both children and parents.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Elahi is the founder of the J-Hoon Musical Ensemble, a Kurdish and Persian folkloric music and dance group that has performed at the United Nations, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, and Asia Society. Her diverse interests and international background help her connect naturally with children and families from many cultures.
Dr. Elahi speaks English, Farsi, French, Italian, and Spanish.
