FRONT TEETH DENTAL IMPLANTS

What Is a Front Tooth Dental Implant?

A front dental implant is an artificial tooth used to replace a missing tooth or several missing teeth (see also Single dental implants and What is an implant supported dental bridge?). To effectively replace your missing tooth, a dental implant must consist of:

  • A crown that emerges from the gumline and replaces your natural dental crown.
  • A screw (or post) will be surgically introduced into your jawbone. The post replaces your natural dental root. It is made from zirconia or a titanium alloy.

It takes about four months for your implant to osseointegrate into your jawbone. After that time, it will withstand chewing pressure. Hence, we will attach an abutment to the implant after four months. We will then place the crown on the abutment, which protrudes above the gum line.

Let’s now look at the pros of a front dental implant

You don’t need to worry about front dental implant surgery.

The procedure is easy and can be very short, often under 30 minutes. Dental implant surgery and its aftercare and healing are uneventful most of the time.

Rest assured that our periodontist and dental implant specialist will make you comfortable during the entire procedure and explains every step during the process.

Dr. Reshad will place a temporary tooth, and your missing tooth will be a thing of the past. After osseointegration, Dr. Reshad will place your permanent tooth (teeth) a few months later. Life will be for you to enjoy.

Front Dental Implants Require Experience

Though front tooth replacement with a dental implant is often straightforward, procedures may become more convoluted on occasions. The complexity of dental implant procedures increases when you require:

  • Bone grafting
  • Mini-implants; Dr. Reshad uses mini-implants when the roots of your teeth on both sides of the missing tooth are too close to one another, and you do not want to do orthodontic work to open the space.

With over 27 years of experience, Dr. Reshad brings the necessary know-how for successful outcomes.

Dr. Reshad also uses state-of-the-art technology and the best available grafting materials available. These (materials) facilitate integration with and growth of your natural bone.

If you wish to know whether a dental implant is the right solution for you, schedule a consultation with Dr. Reshad.
